Tommy Maddox is horrible. There's no way around it. I'm a die-hard Steelers fan. What goes through Cowher's head? Cowher is great, but what would make him want to put an old rusty "quarterback." I'm amazed, and I know that I'm not the only one that saw his horrible game coming. Don't worry though, because we should feel better knowing that he had a bad day because of the "wind gusts." Thank you and good day.

I totally agree. Here's an idea. Why don't the Steelers trade for the 49ers practice squad quarterback? In exchange the Steelers will send Tommy Maddox. Wait...that's not a good deal for the 49ers. The steelers will have to give up their next three first round draft picks just to make it fair. Amazing! Now obviously this is out of amazement, but the point is that the "worst player in the NFL," as I like to call him, should not even get to dress another game. Cowher had Duce inactive for the Jaguars game. Why? Heck, put Duce in at QB. Thank you Petersen and the Jaguars for showing how terrible Maddox actually is. As a Steelers fan, I'll take the loss if it gets Maddox out of town. We wouldn't want him to get a wind burn anyways, or would we?

I don't particularly think that Maddox is awful. He is a quality backup. You clearly have forgotten that the Jags are number 2 in the NFL in pass defense, and that the running game wasn't going, or that he did not have Hines Ward for the game. Give the guy a break.

He is awful. I understand that the Jags have a great defense and that Hines Ward wasn't playing, but the fact is simple. With the ball on the Jags 29 yard line in overtime, he fumbled the ball and didn't have the sense to fall on it. In addition, he had to throw an interception. Petersen knew it was coming. Maddox threw the same route three times earlier, and Petersen almost had one of them. I'm sure Maddox is alright off the field, but he should do us a favor and retire.

Maddox is not a good QB, but if you are comming from a coach's standpoint, would you want Batch in their or Maddox? I think that they are both horrible, but Maddox has more experience and I would rather have him in than Batch. Good thing Rothlesberger says he wants to play this week, the Steelers don't need to put so much pressure on that defense, people do get tired. When they get tired, they make mistakes. That will cause them to lose games and get the morale down.
