Announcing The Blog Cooperative

I launched a new site today, The Blog Cooperative (www.BlogCoop.com). The idea was inspired by my previous post about liquid democracy in business and by an email conversation with Seyed Razavi, creator of BlogShares. Other inspirations and ideas are from Clay Shirky, Joi Ito, Doc Searls, and David Weinberger.

Blog Cooperatives are businesses jointly owned and operated by their members. BlogCoops are for-profit ventures that embrace emergent democracy as a means for governance and decision-making.

The purpose of the site is to generate discussion about the idea. I won't go into details here, since I have just completed 28 entries on the subject at http://www.blogcoop.com/. Please visit the site and join in the discussion.

Wow, I think you found a way to drive up your connections, manipulate the Shirky Power Curve. That little XML script which displays the Technorati Interesting Blogs pulls up your Web Dawn site all over the place.

If you're looking to drive traffic to Blogcoop.com, maybe you should consider putting the same script on that site for a while, see what happens...??

Best --
